Peter McKelvey is President of L.E.K. Consulting’s Americas practice and chairs L.E.K.’s Americas Regional Management Committee. He also serves on L.E.K.’s Global Operating Committee and Global Leadership Team. Peter is responsible for directing the firm’s strategy and operations in the Americas region. He has more than 25 years of experience with L.E.K. and specializes in corporate strategy development and merger and acquisition advisory services for private equity firms and their portfolio companies. He has broad expertise both in evaluating new investment opportunities and in providing strategic enhancements for portfolio companies.

Prior to joining L.E.K. in 1990, Peter worked for General Electric Company, where he graduated from GE’s Financial Management Program and held several positions in business planning and finance. He received a BA in economics, magna cum laude, from Williams College and an MBA with distinction from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Palmer Scholar.
