Jonathan Simmons is a Partner in L.E.K. Consulting’s London office. He has over 30 years of strategy consulting experience and leads L.E.K.’s European Retail and Consumer Products Practice. He also has significant experience in consumer-facing aspects of transport and service businesses.

Jonathan has provided strategic advice to U.K. and European companies, and businesses from other regions seeking European market entry. He has a wide coverage of retail sub-sectors including grocery, general merchandise, specialty, apparel and accessories, sports, airport retail, and automotive services. He also advises transport companies on consumer-facing issues such as pricing, yield management and marketing strategy covering bus, coach, ferries, rail and automotive services.

Jonathan is one of L.E.K.’s European thought leaders in the area of New Mobility, covering developments in and impact of ride sharing and hailing services, electrification and connectivity, and autonomous vehicles. He advises corporations and private equity and infrastructure investors on the subject, covering risks to current business models as well as opportunities arising.

Along with business development, Jonathan has significant experience in buy- and sell-side transaction advice.

He has Bachelor’s and Master’s of Engineering degrees from Queens’ College, Cambridge, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
