Pierre Jacquet is a Managing Director and Global Head of L.E.K. Consulting’s Life Sciences practice.

Pierre has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and business unit strategy consulting and in mergers and acquisitions advisory services. He has led numerous engagements across the biopharma, medtech and diagnostic sectors, helping companies identify and execute strategies that maximize shareholder value creation. One of his recent engagements focused on a CEO-led process to explore growth options for a leading biotech company and identify the operational and organizational implications of the recommended strategy. A former physician, Pierre also draws upon his medical background to advise biopharma leaders on R&D productivity assessment and product commercial evaluation.

Prior to joining L.E.K., Pierre worked with Arthur D. Little as a manager of its pharmaceutical practice and performed business development for Genzyme. During his medical career, he was a Fellow at the Washington Cancer Institute, where he authored over 40 articles and book chapters about new chemotherapy regimens for gastrointestinal cancers.

Pierre was one of Consulting magazine’s 2017 Top 25 Consultants for Excellence in Healthcare; the award recognizes the most influential consultants making the greatest impact within the industry. Pierre received his MBA from Darden Graduate School at the University of Virginia. He was also awarded a Doctor of Philosophy, summa cum laude, in biomedical sciences and a Doctor of Medicine, magna cum laude, from the University of Liège in Belgium.

Pierre is on the Advisory Board of Life Science Cares, a collective effort of the life sciences industry to help address the impact of poverty and inequality on our neighbors in the greater Boston area. Prior board directorships include Osprey Pharmaceuticals, T2C2 and Seaflower Ventures.
