Zayd is a Partner in L.E.K. consulting’s Dubai office, where he leads the Financial Services sector for the Middle East. Zayd works at the intersection of strategy and technology, where he advises disruption-centric executives on key strategic opportunities that call for expertise in strategy, business and technology.
Zayd gained deep expertise in corporate finance, strategy, digital transformation, innovation and venturing, and advises clients in Banking, Wealth Management, Regulation and Development Finance. Zayd also leverages his experience to help clients from multiple other sectors to bring compelling, disruptive and innovative business models to the sector.
In addition to his consulting experience, Zayd is an avid member of the start-up community in the Middle East. He has been involved in several entrepreneurial ventures and continues to provide mentorship to regional entrepreneurs.
Zayd has been a speaker and mentor at GITEX, Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival and other innovation & entrepreneurship events. Zayd was part of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund leadership team and has extensive knowledge of the regional start-up and venture capital ecosystem.
Prior to joining L.E.K. in 2024, Zayd was the regional Financial Services leader for a prestigious strategy consulting firm and has held senior positions at other top tier firms in Europe and the Middle East.
Zayd has an MSc in Development Economics from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies and a BA in International Economics from Loughborough University.
