Will Callender is a Managing Director in L.E.K. Consulting’s New York office and a leader in the firm’s Financial Services practice. He brings more than 25 years of experience advising executive leadership teams and boards across banking, payments, fintech, and specialty finance. His trusted relationships have been formed by collaboratively delivering results on issues addressing corporate strategy, performance improvement, digital innovation, balance sheet management, and risk governance.

Prior to joining L.E.K., Will was the president of a financial technology company providing digital infrastructure and pioneering products for U.S. banks to modernize and scale client-facing or enterprise-level capabilities. As president, he focused on firm strategy, client development, fintech partnerships, and product design.

Previously, Will served as Partner, Americas financial services practice leader, and Head of the New York Office at a prominent global consulting firm. Prior to that, he held similar senior roles at two other leading consultancies. Will began his career as a fixed income, equity and derivatives securities trader.

Will is a frequent speaker at board offsites, financial services forums, and regulatory events. His industry perspectives have been shared in The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The New York Times, The American Banker, Bank Director Magazine and other leading publications.

Will holds a B.S.B.A. with a finance concentration from Georgetown University.
