Clay Heskett was elected by the L.E.K. Consulting partnership to lead the firm and became Global Managing Partner in 2021. He is responsible for L.E.K.’s global strategy and operations and is executive champion of the firm’s Global Talent Committee. He also serves as the Chairman of L.E.K.’s Board. Based in London, he previously served as Head of L.E.K.’s European region and the Head of its European Life Sciences practice. He has also been a member of the firm’s Board of Directors since 2016.
Clay is known for his success building and leading teams that help business leaders at critical moments when they must make complex, highly important decisions. In his leadership role at L.E.K., his current areas of focus include the strategic growth of the firm, building upon its prodigious talent resources and advancing the L.E.K. culture.
In his client work in Life Sciences, Clay works with clients to develop innovative strategies, has led game-changing M&A transactions on behalf of clients, and has deployed his expertise to help clients stay ahead of shifting market trends. His experience spans a broad range of sectors within life sciences, including biopharmaceuticals, medtech and contract services.
He joined L.E.K. in 2005 from Boston Consulting Group and was elected to the partnership in 2007. He previously worked in technology development for Los Alamos National Laboratory. A native of New Mexico, Clay is an active high-peaks mountain climber and fly fisherman. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia.
