Jeff Forrest is a partner in L.E.K.’s Energy practice based in Sydney, Australia. He is a leading expert in the energy sector and works with clients in related industrials sectors as they address their energy and sustainability challenges. Jeff brings more than a decade of experience in strategy, performance improvement, finance and mergers and acquisitions.
Jeff re-joined L.E.K. in 2023 after having held senior executive roles in strategy and finance with Australia’s largest energy transmission business, Transgrid. Jeff was involved guiding the company through the energy transition and leading a strategic pivot towards renewable energy solutions. During his time at Transgrid Jeff led several major projects to regulatory approval and financial close, including some of Australia’s largest ever electricity infrastructure investments.
Jeff's deep expertise spans the energy value chain, serving energy generators, transmission and distribution businesses, energy retailers, and government organisations. His areas of focus include strategy development, business strategy, M&A support services, post-merger integration, organisational strategy, performance improvement, and market evaluations.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of New South Wales as well as Masters of Business Administration degrees from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago and the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
