Boston (May 4, 2018) – Robert Rourke, Managing Director and Head of L.E.K. Consulting’s Building Products & Materials practice for the Americas, has been named among Consulting magazine’s Top 25 Consultants in 2018 for excellence in leadership. Rourke, who is based in Chicago, advises clients in the building materials and products, industrials, and retail sectors on growth strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
“Rob’s contributions have been instrumental in growing our firm, and his leadership skills are unparalleled. Not only did he establish our Building Products & Materials practice, he also served as the leader of our Chicago office as it doubled in size. In addition, he was the first head of our Americas Industrial sector and it has become the fast-growing area of our firm,” said Peter McKelvey, President of L.E.K.’s Americas region. “We congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.”
During his 27-year career in consulting, Rourke has successfully directed over 600 projects in the building materials and products, industrials, and retail sectors, and he has served as the advisor on over $50 billion of M&A activity in North America over the last five years. Before joining L.E.K. in 1996, he was a manager at Accenture. Rourke holds a BA in finance from Syracuse University and an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by Consulting magazine. I’m especially grateful to my colleagues and clients who make our work so rewarding and for the support from and inspiration of my family,” said Rourke.
Rourke will be honored at a gala awards dinner in New York on June 14, 2018, and will be featured in the May 2018 issue of Consulting magazine.
