Boston, MA (September 7, 2017) – L.E.K. Consulting expresses gratitude for being recognized by Consulting magazine for L.E.K.’s pro bono work with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). The work focused on the application of wearable devices and mobile technology to advance Parkinson’s disease research and drug development.
This is the third year that L.E.K., a global management consulting firm, has been recognized with a Consulting magazine Excellence in Social & Community Investment award.

It’s truly an honor to work with the Foundation, and to have the joint efforts recognized by Consulting magazine,” said Joe Johnson, managing director at L.E.K. who oversaw the engagement.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation worked with L.E.K. to better understand the use of wearable biosensors and mobile technologies to help inform Parkinson’s disease research funding priorities. The partnership resulted in the development of an evergreen tool to evaluate and prioritize mobile technologies, and a framework to inform funding efforts for 2017 and beyond. L.E.K.’s work involved the assessment of mobile technology landscape and its evolution; the development of a framework to look at different technology options to incorporate into R&D efforts; and the creation of a questionnaire to evaluate future wearable and mobile technologies as they come to market.
L.E.K. will be honored at a gala awards dinner on September 14, 2017 in New York. The firm’s work with The Michael J. Fox Foundation will be featured in the October 2017 issue of Consulting magazine.
