Consulting ranked first among consulting firms – and second among all companies nationwide, trailing only Google – as the best company for MBAs to work for, according to a national survey and ranking by TransparentCareer, which aggregates self-reported MBA job information, and website Poets & Quants, which covers graduate business education.

L.E.K. came away with an index score of 97.22 out of 100, barely trailing first-place Google, which scored 100. The ranking – based on compensation, job satisfaction and weekly hours data – was the result of a survey of 1,800 recently graduated MBAs from the top 25 business schools. The data was self-reported and generated by TransparentCareer, and the three categories of data were then analyzed by Poets & Quants.
