Dan McKone

Dan is a Senior Partner and is a relationship lead for major corporate and financial sponsor clients of the firm. Consulting magazine recently recognized him as a “Top 25 Consultant” in the industry. Over the years, he has served in a variety of executive roles including both the firm's Global Leadership Team and Management Committee, and has chaired major initiatives responsible for the firm’s strategy, remuneration and training programs. He currently heads the firm's Customer Engagement & Loyalty service line globally and is Head of the Travel & Transportation practice in the Americas. He also co-leads the firm’s Edge Strategy® service line.

Dan has spent more than 25 years focused on strategy and optimization. Over the course of more than 600 engagements, he has advised many global organizations on growth, performance improvement, decision analysis, concept development, channel strategy, pricing and positioning, organizational design, and new business launches. He has also worked on more than 200 M&A deals for private equity and corporate leaders.

He is a frequent speaker and has written many papers and articles on corporate strategy, economic trends and marketing performance. Dan and his ideas have been featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, The Financial Times, Bloomberg, Fox Business,  and a variety of other major publications. He is also the co-author of the business book "Edge Strategy, A New Mindset for Profitable Growth," published by Harvard Business Review.

Alan Lewis

Alan joined L.E.K. Consulting in 2003 and is based in the Boston office. Alan is a leader in our Travel and Transport practice and is also a member of L.E.K.'s Global Leadership Team. He is an expert in growth strategy and has helped many companies within the travel sector and beyond to define and execute on ways to grow and create value.

He is co-author of the Harvard Business Review Press book "Edge Strategy: A New Mindset for Profitable Growth” and has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Bloomberg, HBR, The Economist, Financial Times, and Inc.com. He was recognized by Consulting Magazine as a Top 25 Consultant in 2016.

Prior to joining L.E.K., Alan worked in the chemicals industry holding a number of positions in R&D and business development with major multinationals ICI and Ineos. Alan is a professionally qualified chemical engineer (CEng MIChemE) with a first class honors degree from University College Dublin and an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
