Dan McKone

Dan is a Senior Partner at L.E.K. Consulting. He is Head of the Consumer Engagement & Loyalty service line and Head of the Travel & Transportation practice in the Americas. He also co-leads the firm’s Edge Strategy® service line. Over the years, he has served in a variety of leadership roles including the firm’s Global Leadership Team, the Americas management committee and various partner operating committees responsible for the firm’s strategy, remuneration and training.

Dan has spent more than two decades focused on commercial growth and optimization. Over more than 400 engagements, he has had the opportunity to advise a great number of the world’s leading retailers, airlines, hotels and other consumer-facing businesses. His work has spanned such areas as performance improvement, customer engagement, strategic decision analysis, new concept development, channel strategy, pricing and positioning, organizational design, new business launches and mergers & acquisitions.

He is a frequent speaker and has written many papers and articles on corporate strategy, economic trends and marketing performance. Dan and his ideas have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Harvard Business Review, the New York Times, the Financial Times, Forbes, Bloomberg, Inc., Fox Business News, and a variety of other major publications. He is the co-author of the business book "Edge Strategy, A New Mindset for Profitable Growth," published by Harvard Business Review.

Alan Lewis

Alan joined L.E.K. Consulting in 2003 and is based in the Boston office. Alan is a leader in our Travel and Transport practice and is also a member of L.E.K.'s Global Leadership Team. He is an expert in growth strategy and has helped many companies within the travel sector and beyond to define and execute on ways to grow and create value.

He is co-author of the Harvard Business Review Press book "Edge Strategy: A New Mindset for Profitable Growth” and has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Bloomberg, HBR, The Economist, Financial Times, and Inc.com. He was recognized by Consulting Magazine as a Top 25 Consultant in 2016.

Prior to joining L.E.K., Alan worked in the chemicals industry holding a number of positions in R&D and business development with major multinationals ICI and Ineos. Alan is a professionally qualified chemical engineer (CEng MIChemE) with a first class honors degree from University College Dublin and an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
