New Partner Joins Munich Office
Boston and London — Jan. 3, 2019 — L.E.K. Consulting, a global management consulting firm, has appointed 15 new partners that include 14 promotions and one new hire. The new partners will strengthen the expertise that L.E.K. brings to bear for clients across multiple industry sectors and geographies.

L.E.K.’s new partners are as follows:
Noor Abdel-Samed, based in L.E.K.’s Boston office, is a Consumer sector specialist. He has deep expertise in digital, omnichannel, ecommerce, consumer segmentation, pricing and promotions. Prior to joining L.E.K., Noor held leadership positions in the digital and retail spaces, including roles at CVS Health and BJ’s Wholesale Club. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Juris Doctor from Emory University.
Sej Brar is based in London and is a member of the Pharma & Life Sciences practice. He specializes in corporate and commercial strategy, including M&A, business development and investment due diligence, as well as organizational design and alignment. Before joining L.E.K., Sej held roles at the Monitor Group and Deloitte, where he focused on corporate and commercial strategy across the life sciences, consumer goods and niche industrial sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Stéphane Claquin joined L.E.K. in 2007 and is based in Paris. He has worked with midsized companies, investment funds and government organizations on vendor due diligence, growth strategy, new market identification, competitive risk analysis, commercial due diligence, business plan development and profitability analysis. He previously held roles managing supply chain projects in France and the Middle East. Stéphane is a graduate of the Ecole Central de Lyon.
Jeff Cloetingh is a Boston-based member of the Industrials and Packaging practices. He has worked with clients on the development of global growth strategy, go-to-market commercial strategy, roll-up strategy, digital packaging and printing strategy, and M&A transaction support. Prior to joining L.E.K. in 2011, Jeff focused on incentive plan design and competitive benchmarking at a boutique consulting firm. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colgate University and a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Business at Cornell University.
Romain Maitret is a member of L.E.K.’s Retail and Consumer Products practice and oversees the sector’s data and analytics capability. Based in London, he also works with clients on market entry and strategic positioning, business plan development, customer segmentation, channel and go-to-market strategy, M&A, buy- and sell-side commercial due diligence, and ecommerce. Romain joined the firm in 2011 and holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Queensland, a Master of Science in Engineering and Information Technology from ESIEA, and a Master of Business Administration from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
Neil Menzies is based in L.E.K.’s San Francisco office. As a member of the firm’s Technology and Travel & Transport practices, his expertise includes growth strategy development, customer segmentation, M&A support, strategic planning and go-to-market strategy. Neil holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Kaushik Mohan, based in Singapore, is a member of the Education practice. He has extensive experience across all education segments, including K-12, higher and vocational education, transnational education, English language training, tutoring, and education technology. Prior to joining L.E.K., he was a Senior Vice President at the Education Centre of Excellence at EY-Parthenon. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Bharathidasan University and a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Philip Roux is a member of the Organization & Performance practice, based in London. His primary focus is on delivering large, complex change programs, including strategy implementation, performance improvement, organizational redesign and post-merger integration. Philip works with a diverse range of clients across the Industrials, Life Sciences, Technology and Media & Entertainment sectors. He joined L.E.K. in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Biology from Brown University.
Matt Sabbatino is a New York-based member of the Healthcare Services practice. He specializes in payer/provider integration and behavioral health. Prior to joining L.E.K. in 2011, Matt served as a Captain, combat engineer and paratrooper in the United States Army. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
Jitin Sethi is a member of the Global Education practice. Based in Singapore, he works closely with education companies/operators, private equity firms and not-for-profit institutions on strategic decisions, full-potential assessment, business plan development, investment opportunities, pricing, and go-to-market strategy. Jitin was previously a Senior Vice President at the Education Centre of Excellence at EY-Parthenon. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Engineering Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from the Indian School of Business.
Harpreet Singh, based in London, is a member of the Industrials practice, specializing in the building and construction sectors. His expertise includes growth strategy, transformation, performance turnaround, data-driven decision-marking, customer segmentation, market entry, digital initiatives, and data and analytics, as well as commercial due diligence of buy- and sell-side transactions. Prior to joining L.E.K. in 2013, Harpreet held various leadership roles at large automotive companies and social enterprises. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Industrial and Production Engineering from IIT Delhi and a Master of Business Administration from London Business School.
Ilya Trakhtenberg is based in Chicago. Working in the Healthcare industry, he has a special focus on medical technology and the healthcare value chain. He serves as a strategic adviser to corporate and private equity clients on a range of issues such as growth strategy, commercial excellence and M&A transactions. Ilya received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
Philip Wheeler, based in Melbourne, Australia, is a member of the Industrials practice. He has worked with a variety of international clients on strategy development and implementation, organizational design, transformational change, and M&A due diligence, as well change management and post-merger integration. Phillip returned to L.E.K. in 2017 after 10 years at Rio Tinto and Anglo American, where he held roles overseeing strategy, transaction and integration, project development, and sales and marketing. He received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry from the University of New South Wales.
Katya Zubareva is a member of the Healthcare Services practice. She is also the founder and co-chair of the Women’s Network and the Parent’s Network in the firm’s London office, where she is based. Katya joined L.E.K. in 2007 and specializes in strategy development and transaction support, as well as the use of data and analytics tools to support the decision-making process. She holds a Bachelor’s in Linguistics from Moscow State Linguistic University and a Master of Business Administration from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
In addition to the new partner promotions, Klaus Boehncke has joined L.E.K. as a new partner in Munich to meet the growing demand for the firm’s consulting services in Germany. Klaus is a member of L.E.K.’s Healthcare Services and Life Sciences practices. He is a recognized expert in disciplines including digital, technology, business strategy and program management support. He has worked across a variety of industries that include private equity, venture capital and turnaround management. Klaus was previously a Partner with the IBM Global Digital Strategy Team. He holds a MSc in Physics from the Technical University of Munich and the University of Illinois, and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD.
