About Jon Piper and Ian Tzeng:
Jon Piper is a Managing Director and Partner, as well as the head of L.E.K. Consulting’s Boston office and a member of L.E.K.'s Americas Regional Management Committee. He joined the firm in 1998 and has more than 20 years of consulting experience across the healthcare industry. Jon has extensive transaction, commercialization and portfolio optimization experience within the life sciences sector, working with clients at various stages of development. Within healthcare services, he has advised his clients on how best to achieve profitable growth, manage their costs and complete value creating transactions. Prior to L.E.K., Jon was a consultant with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), where he focused on healthcare services. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Trinity College.
Ian Tzeng, a Managing Director and Partner in L.E.K. Consulting's Boston office, has more than 17 years of consulting experience in growth strategy, regulated markets, innovation, pricing, and mergers and acquisitions. He directs projects in our Biopharmaceuticals & Life Sciences and MedTech practices, with emphasis in pricing & market access, orphan / rare diseases, and pharma services, among others. Additionally, Ian has extensive consulting and board experience with non-profit organizations in education, arts, advocacy, and public service. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Chemistry from Harvard College and is a George F. Baker Scholar, Master of Business Administration with high distinction from Harvard Business School.
