Asia-Pacific Life Sciences Centre of Excellence

The rapid evolution of the life sciences industry has been accompanied by fierce competition on a global scale. Exciting medical and scientific innovations offer the promise of better health for patients around the world. At the same time, enormous challenges such as increased pricing pressure, the changing role of consumers, tightening of regulation and disruption from nontraditional players, make it critical for industry leaders to stay on top of the latest trends and issues.

The Asia-Pacific Life Sciences Centre of Excellence (APAC CoE) is an important part of our broader Healthcare Insights Center and is dedicated to advancing insights and cutting-edge thinking on topics of greatest relevance to life sciences leaders in the APAC region. The Singapore Economic Development Board is a founding partner of the APAC CoE. Our aim is leverage L.E.K.’s deep industry knowledge and proprietary tools, as well as Singapore’s strong research ecosystem, to produce materials on a broad range of life sciences and healthcare topics. These range from the future of drug discovery and development to healthcare transformation and digitization.

Visitors to the Centre will find both useful insights and practical knowledge, including best practices from other markets around the world. It is our hope that access to this information will help life sciences companies in APAC become more efficient and effective in addressing their current and future challenges.

Finally, the diversity and complexity of the APAC life sciences market presents a number of hurdles for companies looking to do business in the region. The Life Sciences Centre of Excellence provides a compass to help them navigate with greater success. Spearheading this effort is Stephen Sunderland, Partner and Executive Director of the APAC Life Sciences Centre of Excellence.
