BOSTON, MA (April 3, 2023) – L.E.K. Consulting, the global strategy consultancy, has elected Great China Managing Partner Helen Chen as the new Global Healthcare Sector Co-Head, Asia-Pacific, following a stint as the region’s interim Co-Head.

Global Sector Co-Heads lead L.E.K.’s major industry verticals, including Healthcare, Consumer and Industrials, and are responsible for fostering firm-wide collaboration and expertise development.
Chen is a Greater China Managing Partner, based in L.E.K.’s Shanghai office. With over 30 years of consulting and industry experience in the U.S. and Asia, Chen has helped companies in the healthcare and life science spaces expand their presence in China and Asia. She also advises China-based companies on innovation and globalization.
As Director of L.E.K.’s Asia-Pacific Life Sciences Center of Excellence, Chen was named one of Consulting Magazine’s Leaders in Consulting in 2019. Previously, she was a member of the firm’s Global Leadership Team, as well as the head of Asia’s Life Sciences sector and head of the firm’s China practice.
Prior to joining L.E.K., Chen was an associate director of finance at Genentech (now Roche) and a sales planner at Abbott Laboratories (now Abbvie). Chen holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
