Tokyo, Japan — August 16, 2016 — L.E.K. Consulting, a global management consulting firm, announced today that it has appointed Kanji Ojima as principal, to help lead the firm’s Healthcare Services, Life Sciences, MedTech and Private Equity practices in its Tokyo office.
“We are pleased to welcome Ojima-san to our Tokyo team, as he brings 15 years of healthcare and life sciences consulting experience to our growing practices,” said Ray Fujii, managing director and head of L.E.K.’s Tokyo office. “It is an opportune time for the growing L.E.K. Tokyo office to add his expertise in financial advisory for M&A, strategic and market planning, hospital back office transformation, and due diligence to help grow our already strong team of consultants.”
Following 10 years in the finance and banking industry, Ojima spent more than 15 years focusing on healthcare providers, life science, medical technology and the public sector in various consulting roles. His functional expertise extends into business and marketing strategy, financial advisory, financial and change management, hospital back office transformation, business and financial due diligence, and M&A transaction services.
He joins L.E.K. from Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory, where he was managing director for the Life Science & Healthcare and Intellectual Property service group. Previously, he worked in the management consulting division and strategy group for Accenture Japan as a senior manager, and Keio University Hospital in the management and business planning division.
“His background in healthcare and hospital planning will be a key asset to our Healthcare Services practice in Japan,” said Fujii. “He has amassed quite an understanding of Japanese healthcare and the enterprise culture, and we look forward to working with him.”
Ojima earned a Bachelor of Laws with a specialization in criminal process law from Keio University in Japan.
