Monish Rajpal
Monish Rajpal, is a Managing Director and Partner in L.E.K. Consulting’s New York office. He joined the firm in 2008 and focuses on Biopharmaceuticals & Life Sciences, MedTech/Medical Devices, Healthcare Services, as well as the emerging overlap and convergence among these various sectors. Monish advises clients across the size and value-chains spectrum and on a broad range of issues, including value proposition development and refinement, integrated health (including digital health/mhealth, service solutions), pricing, market access and commercialization, portfolio optimization and advancement, as well as broad strategy, growth and innovation, life-cycle management, and opportunity assessment. Prior to joining L.E.K., Monish worked for Medtronic. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pune (India), a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago.

Sheila Shah
Sheila Shah is a Managing Director in L.E.K. Consulting’s Chicago office and serves as leader of the firm’s Digital Healthcare practice. Sheila’s experience covers a range of areas, with a particular focus on healthcare technology, due diligence, commercial strategy, healthcare supply chain, growth opportunity assessment and organizational design.
Prior to joining L.E.K., Sheila interned in Janssen’s Healthcare Innovation Group at Johnson & Johnson and worked in Strategic Sourcing at New York Presbyterian Hospital and in EY’s Healthcare Advisory practice. She holds a B.A. degree in Economics and Political Science from Barnard College of Columbia University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Helen Chen
Helen Chen is Global Sector Co-Head for Healthcare and a Greater China Managing Partner of L.E.K. Consulting based in Shanghai. Helen was a member of L.E.K.’s Global Leadership Team from 2012 to 2016. She is also a Director of the firm’s Asia-Pacific Life Sciences Centre of Excellence. Helen was named one of Consulting magazine’s Global Leaders in Consulting in 2019.
Helen has over 30 years of consulting and industry experience in the U.S. and Asia markets and has lived in China since 2000. She helps companies expand their presence in China and Asia, and leverages Asia’s innovation to improve their global businesses. For companies anchored in China, Helen advises on their drive to innovation and globalization. Helen is a frequent speaker and author on the opportunities and issues in China’s healthcare and life sciences sectors. Her expert commentary has appeared in Bloomberg, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Asia and the South China Morning Post, and in several industry publications, including BioCentury, In Vivo, Script and BioWorld.
Prior to joining L.E.K., Helen held senior management roles at several technology companies in the U.S. and China. She was an associate director of finance at Genentech (now Roche) and a sales planner at Abbott Laboratories (now Abbvie). Helen has an honors B.A. degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
