Boston, MA (October 23, 2017) – Carol Wingard, Managing Director and Head of L.E.K. Consulting’s Americas Industrials practice, has been recognized for her excellence in leadership and applying new thinking to client needs by Consulting magazine’s Women Leaders in Consulting awards. She is a member of the L.E.K.’s Global Leadership Team; co-leads the firm’s Diversity initiative and Women’s Network; spearheads L.E.K.’s work in the chemical and industrial equipment sectors; and served as the head of the firm’s consulting practice in China.

“Carol’s experience, including nearly two decades in China, Singapore, and Japan, stands out in the consulting industry. She is also well known in the chemical industry for her skills in advising companies and their investors on global M&A growth opportunities,” said Peter McKelvey, President of L.E.K.’s America’s region. “In addition, Carol serves as a mentor to several junior colleagues and always finds ways to make a demanding job more rewarding. We congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.”

Wingard joined L.E.K. in 1998 and led the firm’s consulting practice in Shanghai through 2010. Before joining L.E.K., she served as the Director of Asia for a U.S. manufacturer where she directed the development of sales and marketing and direct investment initiatives.

She received a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Princeton University.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by Consulting magazine. I’m especially grateful to my colleagues and clients who make my work so rewarding, and to my husband and children for their support,” said Wingard.

Wingard will be honored at a gala awards dinner on November 16, 2017, in New York.
