Boston, MA – September 6, 2011 – L.E.K. Consulting has announced the launch of a new blog, the L.E.K. Advisor, as part of a new social media campaign during the 2011-2012 on-campus recruiting season. The blog will serve as an interactive resource for undergraduate, MBA and PhD candidates interested in pursuing a career in management consulting. The blog is located at http://ask.lek.com

The L.E.K. Advisor will act as a voice for the L.E.K. brand and will feature contributions from multiple L.E.K. consultants who will offer their opinions, tips and perspectives about a management consulting career and life inside L.E.K. These contributors will provide answers to questions that L.E.K. Advisor readers ask on the blog and around the web, as well as original content based on their professional experiences. L.E.K. is also launching FacebookTwitter and LinkedIn accounts tied to the L.E.K. Advisor blog to offer multiple ways for job seekers to connect.

“Recruiting patterns are rapidly changing in the consulting industry,” said Kristine Hyde, L.E.K.’s U.S. Chief Talent Officer. “We’ve observed more and more candidates going online to forums and blogs to get advice on the interview process and opinions from peers about working at different firms. It’s our goal to become a go-to knowledge source when candidates want advice or more information about the recruiting and interview process, or about management consulting as a career option.”

The L.E.K. Advisor blog marks L.E.K.’s first official foray into social media and will serve as a platform for the firm to directly connect with undergraduate and MBA candidates about management consulting career advice. The L.E.K. Advisor will be updated regularly with original written and video content from L.E.K. consultants and recruiting team staff. Content will be divided across three broad categories: discovering the highlights and challenges of a management consulting job, learning about life inside L.E.K., and tips and support for candidates going through the recruiting process. Readers can ask questions directly to the L.E.K. Advisor through a submission box on the blog’s main page.

“There are countless unanswered questions across the web from undergraduate and MBA candidates who seek information about a management consulting career,” said Ms. Hyde. “We want to provide an online resource that will enable us to answer these questions, and actively engage with students and graduates as they explore a consulting career and working at L.E.K.”
