Sydney — October 12, 2016 — L.E.K. Consulting, one of Australia’s leading strategy consulting firms, today announced that Jonathan Metcalfe has joined the firm’s Australian practice as a senior strategic adviser. Johnathan is the former CEO of Transdev Australasia.

Jonathan’s was previously the CEO at Transdev Australasia and Executive Chairman of Veolia Transport's Rail operations and is currently a non-executive director at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. During his time at Transdev Jonathan successfully delivered on its vision to become the leading passenger transport operator in Australasia. He successfully oversaw the bids for the Sydney Ferries franchise, the Sydney CBD light rail PPP, the largest metropolitan bus contract in Melbourne, as well as renewing major contracts for rail operations in Auckland and buses in Perth. At the end of his tenure, Transdev held 10 major transport contracts across the region carrying 120 million passenger’s per year. Before moving to Australia, Jonathan was the COO and CEO of the award-winning Great North Eastern Railway in the UK.
