We do so much work in this area that it really justifies its own pillar within our firm, and we're able to draw on insights across all of those different areas of pet for our clients. So there's a few things I would want people to know about L.E.K.'s pet practice, and really what makes us different, and why you should call us when you're facing a strategic issue or looking at a new investment.
One is that, because we do so much work in this space, we are able to develop our own proprietary point of view on the market, on the consumer and on key trends impacting the industry. It is extremely recession-resilient. It is pandemic-proof. There are a number of really strong, durable macro trends: premiumization, humanization of pets, more frequent and meaningful interaction with pets, just to name a few.
All of those really durable drivers lead to a number of attractive market fundamentals. And so investors are flocking to pet in record numbers, and that's where we come in, and can really help our clients get to the bottom of whether an investment in pet is a good one or not. Another aspect is kind of core to who we are at L.E.K. We are growth strategists. Growth strategy is in our DNA.
And so we can really take our robust analytical approach, but transition that or transform that into actionable insights for our clients. And so that's, I think, something that differentiates L.E.K. not only in pet, but more broadly. (gentle bright music)
