Boston (Oct 19, 2021) — Consulting magazine has named L.E.K. Consulting Principal Laura Brookhiser as a Rising Star of the Profession. Brookhiser, a member of the firm’s Retail & Consumer Products practice, was recognized for Excellence in Client Service.
Based in L.E.K.’s Boston office, Brookhiser focuses on the home goods, footwear and apparel industries. She has been involved in more than 50 client engagements at L.E.K. and has advised about 40% of the top 10 U.S.-based footwear brands on topics ranging from digital transformation to consumer segmentation to category expansion. In an increasingly difficult retail landscape, she has developed growth strategies for leading specialty retailers in several categories, including footwear, bedding, flooring and the motorcycle aftermarket.
Passionate about social justice and education, Brookhiser has led pro bono projects and is heavily involved in L.E.K.’s recruitment and diversity initiatives. She first joined L.E.K. from 2008-2013 and returned in 2019 after pursuing a joint MBA /master’s degree in Education at Stanford and a stint at The Bridgespan Group.
