Dan McKone is a Senior Partner at L.E.K. and currently serves as Chairman of Global Innovation, helping to incubate and scale new service lines to benefit clients across the firm’s industries and practices. Over the years, he has served in a variety of executive roles, including on both the firm’s Global Leadership Team and Management Committee, and has chaired major initiatives responsible for the firm’s strategy, remuneration and governance.
Dan also heads the firm’s Customer Engagement & Loyalty service line globally and is Head of the Travel & Transportation practice in the Americas. He has spent more than 25 years focused on strategy and optimization, and Consulting magazine has recognized him as a Top 25 Consultant in the industry. Over the course of more than 600 engagements, he has advised many global organizations on growth, performance improvement, decision analysis, concept development, channel strategy, pricing and positioning, organizational design, and new business launches. He has also worked on more than 200 M&A deals for private equity and corporate leaders.
Dan is a frequent speaker and has written many papers and articles on corporate strategy, economic trends and marketing performance. His expert commentary has appeared in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, Financial Times, Bloomberg, and other major publications. Dan is also the co-author of the book "Edge Strategy: A New Mindset for Profitable Growth," published by Harvard Business Review.
