This dashboard has been developed to compare a state-level summary of actions to contain the spread of the coronavirus compared with the cumulative and trending impact of the virus within that state. This combination of variables is intended to inform businesses on the likely future direction of containment efforts versus present (i.e., high containment/low spread will likely lead to a reduction in containment efforts and economic expansion while low containment/high spread will likely lead to increases in containment efforts and economic contraction). The metrics are updated weekly or as data is released (e.g., monthly). We will adjust the dashboard over time to emphasize or augment different measures based on the information that is available.
