New Positions Designed to Foster Global Collaboration and Development Activity in Major Sectors that L.E.K. Serves

BOSTON (December 2, 2019) — L.E.K. Consulting, a global management consulting firm, has elected Global Sector Co-Heads for key business sectors — Consumer, Healthcare and Industrials — served by the firm. L.E.K.’s Partners made the elections at a recent Global Partner Conference.

“As L.E.K.’s business grows and as sophisticated corporations rely on us more and more to help them chart their growth and competitive advantage in a complex, fast-changing environment, having global co-heads for our Consumer, Healthcare and Industrials sectors will allow us to focus even more on collaboration across the firm, as well as on developing business and more services to offer clients,” said L.E.K. Global Managing Partner Stuart Jackson.

The L.E.K. Partners elected Dominic Miles as Global Consumer Sector Co-Head (Europe) and Manny Picciola as Global Consumer Sector Co-Head (Americas); Ben Faircloth as Global Healthcare Sector Co-Head (Europe), Jonas Funk as Global Healthcare Sector Co-Head (Americas) and Fabio La Mola as Global Healthcare Sector Co-Head (Asia Pacific); and Jeremy Wheatland as Global Industrials Sector Co-Head (Europe) and Carol Wingard as Global Industrials Sector Co-Head (Americas). In addition, Pierre Jacquet has been appointed Vice-Chair for the Global Healthcare Sector.

About the Global Sector Co-Heads
Consumer Sector:

Dominic Miles is a Partner in L.E.K.’s global Consumer Practice based in London. He has led numerous go-to-market, operating model, reconfiguration and transaction engagement for companies in the retail and services industries. He holds an MA in economics from Cambridge University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Manny Picciola is Managing Director and Partner in L.E.K.’s Chicago office and leads the food and beverage practice. In his 20 years at L.E.K., he has directed client engagements related to business unit strategy, channel management, consumer segmentation, turnarounds and M&A transaction support. He holds a BS in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Healthcare:

Ben Faircloth has led L.E.K.’s European healthcare team, focusing on healthcare services, including pharma services, and medical devices. He has been at the firm since 2007, and his experience includes strategic planning, market entry strategies and transaction due diligence. He holds a BA from Oxford University and an MBA from London Business School.

Jonas Funk is a Managing Director and Partner in L.E.K.’s Chicago office and has been with the firm for over 17 years. He has led hundreds of client engagements, many involving growth strategies and M&A support in the medtech and life sciences industries. He holds a BA from Carleton College.

Fabio La Mola is a Partner in L.E.K’s Singapore office and Executive Director of the firm’s Asia-Pacific Life Sciences Centre of Excellence. He has nearly two decades of healthcare services and life sciences experience related to strategy, organization and performance. He serves as an advisor on biotech to the Singapore National Research Foundation Central Gap Fund. He holds an undergraduate business degree from Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.

Pierre Jacquet (appointed Vice-Chair for Global Healthcare) is an L.E.K. Managing Director who has led numerous biopharma, medtech and diagnostic industry consulting engagements. He was previously a practicing physician. He holds a doctor of medicine and a PhD from the University of Liege in Belgium and an MBA from Darden Graduate School at the University of Virginia.

Industrials:

Jeremy Wheatland is a Partner in L.E.K.’s London office and has been with the firm since 1995. He has led industrials engagements focused on strategy advice and transaction support involving market entry, product and services strategy development, business plan development, commercial due diligence, value-based management and portfolio optimization. He holds a BS in chemical engineering from Birmingham University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Carol Wingard is a Managing Director in L.E.K.’s Boston office and leads the firm’s chemicals and industrial equipment practices. She has been with the firm since 1998 and is Chairperson of the L.E.K. Partner Development Committee. She was also a founding Partner of L.E.K.’s China practice, which she led for many years from Shanghai. She holds a BA from Princeton University.
