The Impact of COVID-19 on US Hospitals — Edition 2

Survey results: Week of March 31, 2020-April 6, 2020

L.E.K. Consulting’s survey “COVID-19 Impact on U.S. Hospitals” tracks COVID-19’s impact on U.S. hospital staff morale, inpatient capacities, key areas of concern and actions taken to handle the outbreak. This week’s survey also includes new questions surrounding the increasing use of telehealth. We plan to administer the survey every one to two weeks, with each edition offering a glimpse into hospital sentiment over time. 

Week 2 reflects survey results from March 31,2020 to April 6, 2020. The sample size is approximately 100 hospital administrators and clinicians each week across a diverse set of U.S. hospitals.

Our plan is to poll hospital stakeholders again next week to provide an updated perspective on sentiment regarding the impact of COVID-19 on hospital operations. We will share our next bulletin with you via email, though feel free to also check our website (www.lek.com).
