Katya Zubareva explains how L.E.K. helps providers of healthcare services set a course for development and growth.
Katya Zubareva:
My name is Katya Zubareva. I'm a Partner in the Healthcare Services team. That is the healthcare provision side of Healthcare, so I deal with a lot of hospitals and clinics, so outpatient healthcare such as dentistry, fertility, dermatology, physiotherapy, basically anything where the patient makes the choice where to go.
My clients are either private equity owned companies or private equity houses themselves, but they're very much the providers of healthcare services. They could be a chain of dental clinics or a chain of fertility clinics or a chain of diagnostic imaging clinics or hospitals, but quite often there is this theme of consolidating small healthcare providers into a network and bringing them together.
These networks of clinics are quite often international across a range of countries within Europe or even broader than that, and we will often help them think about which are the best countries for them to go into or how can they be bigger and better yet, as they develop and grow?
We think about clinician proposition, so how do they attract clinicians and other staff actually as well?
We think about how they should develop their patient proposition, so how do they think about what the patient actually wants when they choose these services, and how does the patient decide which provider to engage with?
We help them think about pricing for example as well, and also just broader synergies that can be realized in these big multinational platforms.
