Part of the Firm’s Regional Healthcare and Life Sciences Focus

BOSTON, MA (April 2, 2024) – L.E.K. Consulting, the global strategy consultancy, has elected Tokyo-based healthcare and life sciences Partner Yuta Inokuchi as Office Head and solo Representative Director of the firm’s Japan business. He succeeds Ray Fujii, former Tokyo office head who transferred to the firm’s San Francisco office and continues to support L.E.K.’s life sciences practice in the U.S. and Japan.

“L.E.K. is a ‘go to’ strategic adviser for companies and investors in healthcare and life sciences, and we are excited about the huge opportunity in Japan under Yuta’s leadership,” said Stephen Sunderland, Partner and Head of L.E.K.’s Asia-Pacific region.

“Yuta is an outstanding and visionary business leader, with extensive experience of the healthcare and life sciences industries in Japan and the surrounding area,” added Shanghai-based Helen Chen, Global Healthcare Sector Co-Head, Asia-Pacific. “He has an ambitious growth plan for the business in Japan, which he and his team have already started delivering.”

Yuta Inokuchi is a biopharmaceutical and healthcare specialist, and has led projects in biopharma and biotech, medical devices, contractor services, life sciences tools, and broader healthcare sectors on growth strategy, organizational strategy and transaction support. Prior to L.E.K., Yuta worked at Japanese consulting firms in Singapore and Tokyo, supporting Japanese and multinational companies in their growth strategy and business development in the Asia-Pacific region.
