Firm is Recognized For Environmental Stewardship and Disclosure Practices
BOSTON, MA (Feb. 29, 2024) – Global strategy consultancy L.E.K. Consulting has achieved an “A-” rating in the “climate change” category from sustainability disclosure leader CDP. The rating acknowledges L.E.K.’s robust environmental stewardship and disclosure practices and places the firm among the top professional services firms in the “Leadership” band, signifying it is amongst those who are orchestrating impactful climate action in line with current best practices.
Over 23,000 companies disclosed environmental performance data to CDP in 2023, including 86% of the S&P 500 and 94% of the FTSE 100. Only 17% of companies within the specialized professional services group attained an “A-” score or higher. L.E.K.’s score greatly surpasses the European regional average of “B” and the specialized professional services sector average of “C.”

CDP, formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, is a not-for-profit organization that runs a global disclosure system for companies, investors, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. CDP’s scores encourage entities to disclose relevant information and take meaningful steps to address environmental challenges.

News of the rating follows the January announcement that L.E.K. received a Gold rating from sustainability ratings leader EcoVadis. In 2023, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated L.E.K.’s ambitious science-based emissions reduction targets to reach net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050, making it the first major global strategy consultancy to have a net-zero target approved by the SBTi.
