Giovanni Calia is the head of L.E.K. Consulting's Milan office. Giovanni has more than 22 years of consulting experience in strategy and business redesign, both domestically and internationally. He has advised major domestic and global corporations in Italy, addressing high-value business opportunities and supporting CEOs and top management on key strategic decisions. In the merger and acquisition sector, Giovanni has worked with primary financial investors to help them make the right investment decisions on a number of deals in a broad range of industries including life sciences, energy, industrial products, and transportation. He has also been involved in significant post-acquisition work with a focus on performance improvement initiatives and growth strategies.

Prior to joining L.E.K. in January 2000, Giovanni worked at PIMS (Profit Impact of Market Strategy) as a business consultant and later was the co-founder of the Italian branch. He received his degree summa cum laude in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan.
